The 2026 Ghana Education Service (GES) Promotion Tuition and Preparation Programme for teachers seeking promotion to higher ranks has successfully come to an end following the completion of the 2026 GES Promotion Aptitude Test.
As part of Sir Joe’s auxiliary duties and commitment to supporting the professional development of teachers, I have, since 2022, taken up the responsibility of voluntarily training and preparing teachers who are due for promotion to the ranks of Principal Superintendent (PS), Assistant Director II (AD II), Assistant Director I (AD I) and Deputy Director (DD).
The 2026 preparation programme commenced in April and continued until the actual promotion examinations, which were held from Monday, November 2, to Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at various examination centres across the 16 regions of Ghana.
To ensure effective coordination, communication and monitoring of the preparation activities, a common WhatsApp platform named SUCCESS CHAMBER 2026 was created. The platform served as a learning and support community where participating teachers received study materials, practice questions, updates and other relevant educational resources.
The study materials covered several important areas of education, including the Concept of Education, History of Education in Ghana, Educational Reforms, Educational Acts, Ghana Education Service (GES), Ministry of Education, Educational Management and Administration, Assessment and Evaluation in Education, Curriculum Development in Ghana, among others.
To make learning more interactive and effective, each topic was accompanied by quizzes to test teachers’ understanding and readiness. Other learning resources, such as Educational Titbits flyers and WhatsApp polls, were also provided to enhance their preparation.
Teachers were equally supported during the promotion application process. This included providing guidance on the eligibility requirements, necessary documents and other important procedures involved in submitting their promotion applications. This support has become particularly important because the application process has often been a major concern for teachers seeking promotion.
This initiative has been part of my voluntary service and commitment to teachers since 2022. Over the years, the testimonies, appreciation and success stories shared by teachers who have benefited from the programme have been tremendous and heartwarming.
My motivation has always been to contribute my quota towards the professional growth of teachers and help them achieve their career aspirations.
With the 2026 promotion examinations successfully concluded, we now look forward to the results, hoping and praying for another year of excellent performance and success stories from members of SUCCESS CHAMBER 2026.
The journey does not end here!
I, together with my team, look forward to continuing this initiative in 2027, providing teachers with the necessary learning materials, guidance and support to prepare adequately for their next career progression.
