The Diocesan Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) of Effiduase has successfully held its Sports and Entrepreneurship Programme at Kwamang in the Atonsu Circuit.
The five-day programme, which commenced on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and ended on Sunday, August 16, 2026, was held at the Kwamang Emmanuel Methodist Church.
As part of the activities lined up for the programme, participants received practical training in various entrepreneurial skills. Among the skills taught were the preparation of shortcake and spring rolls, as well as the production of key holders and picture frames.

Rev. Ohene Gyimah, the Minister in Charge of Kwamang, welcomed all the members and urged them to take the entrepreneurship programme seriously. He encouraged the participants to ask all relevant questions to gain a better understanding of the skills being taught. He also thanked the Diocesan MYF leadership for organising such an important programme.
The resource persons made the training highly practical, allowing participants to follow the processes step by step. This approach helped the participants to better understand the techniques involved and gave them an opportunity to practise the skills themselves.
The entrepreneurship training was designed not only to equip the young people with new skills but also to encourage them to explore opportunities that could help them become self-reliant. Participants were encouraged to see the skills acquired as potential sources of income that could support them in the future.
Brother Benjamin Atta, the Effiduase Diocesan MYF Chairman, advised the participants to take the training seriously and make good use of the knowledge and skills they had acquired.
He further encouraged them to share the skills with members of their respective branches and communities. According to him, this could help create more opportunities for young people to engage in productive activities and generate income for themselves.
Brother Benjamin Atta noted that empowering young people with practical entrepreneurial skills could contribute to addressing the challenge of unemployment in local communities. He therefore urged participants not to allow the knowledge gained during the programme to remain with them but to put it into practice and teach others.

Brother Maxwell Amaniapomg Kwarteng, the Diocesan MYF Secretary, served as the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the occasion.
