Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ketu North Constituency, has announced plans to offer scholarship assistance to 400 tertiary students in his constituency.
The announcement was shared with the general public on his official Facebook page.
According to the announcement, the event will take place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Ketu North Municipal Assembly Hall in Dzodze.
In the statement, it was indicated that this is the second cohort of the scholarship scheme, and the scholarships will cover between 60% and 100% of the beneficiaries’ academic fees.
It was emphasized that the beneficiaries were selected after a very meticulous screening and interview process.
“It has been demanding, rigorous, and expensive, but deeply fulfilling because it directly changes lives,” Hon. Agbana stressed.
Hon. Edem Agbana further revealed that last year, with the support of a few friends and some organizations, over 1.3 million Ghana cedis were invested to support the education of young people from the Ketu North constituency. The MP also stated that he has personally set aside 50 percent of his salary to sustain the initiative. He added that even with that commitment, the need remains greater than the resources available.
The Honourable Member has appealed to individuals, friends, and organizations who share his vision of empowering the youth through education to offer their support and assistance to sustain this initiative.
