Effiduase Bishop Inducts Newly Elected Diocesan MYF Executives into Office

Effiduase Diocesan MYF Executives Induction Service image

The Rt. Rev. Kenneth Oteng Dapaah, Bishop of the Effiduase Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana, has officially inducted the newly elected Effiduase Diocesan Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) Executives into office.

The solemn induction service took place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Kumawu Emmanuel Methodist Church in the Bodomase Circuit. The ceremony marked a significant moment in the Diocese, as the youth arm of the Church ushered in a new team of leaders to guide its activities for the next three years.

The service brought together several prominent personalities within the Diocese and beyond. Among them were The Rt. Rev. Kenneth Oteng Dapaah, Bishop of the Effiduase Diocese; Bro. Prof. Emmanuel Dartey, Effiduase Lay Chairman; Very Rev. Joseph Sarfo Anning, Effiduase Diocesan Synod Secretary; Very Rev. John Kwame Amponsah, Superintendent Minister for the Bodomase Circuit; Rev. Emmanuel Boakye, Effiduase Diocesan Youth Organizer (DYO); and Rev. Daniel Gyasi-Nimako, the host and Circuit Minister in Bodomase. Also present were members of the Effiduase Diocesan Youth Ministry (YDM) Executives, representatives from sister dioceses, immediate past Diocesan MYF executives, and several youth members and church leaders who gathered to witness the occasion.

The induction ceremony was characterized by prayers, scripture readings, exhortations, and the formal administration of the oath of office. The atmosphere reflected both joy and solemn responsibility as the newly elected executives pledged to serve faithfully, uphold the values of the Church, and work diligently to advance the mission of the Methodist Youth Fellowship within the Diocese.

  • Bro. Isaac Gyan – Vice Chairman
  • Bro. Maxwell A. Kwarteng – Secretary
  • Bro. Martin A. Brobbey – Assistant Secretary
  • Bro. Ebenezer A. Konadu – Treasurer
  • Bro. Emmanuel A. Duah – Evangelism Coordinator
  • Bro. Seth David Donkor – Organizer
  • Sist. Gloria Akyaa Boadi – Co-Opted Member
  • Bro. Richard K. Osei – Immediate Past Chairman

In his brief address, the Rt. Rev. Kenneth Oteng Dapaah congratulated the new executives on their election and successful induction. He urged them to build upon the foundation laid by the previous administration and to work in unity, humility, and dedication. The Bishop emphasized the crucial role of the youth in the growth and sustainability of the Church, noting that effective youth leadership is key to nurturing future leaders of both the Church and society.

He further encouraged the executives to prioritize spiritual growth, evangelism, discipline, and innovative programs that would attract and retain young people within the Methodist Youth Fellowship.

Bro. Atta Benjamin, the Effiduase Diocesan MYF Chairman, speaking on behalf of the newly inducted executives, expressed profound gratitude to the Bishop and all members of the Diocese for the confidence reposed in them. He thanked the clergy, lay leaders, and youth members for their continuous support and assured them of the team’s readiness to serve with diligence and integrity.

He pledged that the new administration would work collaboratively with all stakeholders to strengthen the MYF across the Diocese and implement impactful programs that would benefit members spiritually, socially, and academically.

The newly inducted executives are expected to steer the affairs of the Diocesan MYF for a three-year term, from October 2025 to September 2028. Their tenure is anticipated to bring renewed energy, innovation, and growth to the youth ministry within the Effiduase Diocese.
