His involvement in this academic initiative highlights his continuous commitment to promoting quality education and academic excellence within the district.
Sir Joe, together with two other experienced educationists, was carefully selected to serve as members of the quiz panel as well as quiz masters for the competition. Their role is crucial, as they are responsible for setting high-quality questions, ensuring fairness, and maintaining the overall standard of the competition. With his wealth of experience in the education sector, Sir Joe brings professionalism, integrity, and expertise to the team.
Currently, Sir Joe serves as the Examinations Coordinator for the Sekyere Kumawu District in the Ghana Education Service (GES). In this capacity, he has consistently demonstrated a high level of dedication and competence in the discharge of his duties. His involvement in the quiz competition is an extension of his passion for nurturing young minds and encouraging students to excel academically.
The quiz competition is structured around the four core subjects studied at the JHS level: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social Studies. These subjects form the foundation of students’ academic development, and the competition is designed to test their knowledge, critical thinking, and confidence across these key areas.

As part of the preparation for the competition, Sir Joe and his team officially informed all public JHS schools within the district to train and present up to six learners each to participate. This directive ensured that schools adequately prepared their students to compete at a high level, thereby promoting healthy academic rivalry among the schools.
The first round of the competition, which was held at the school level across the various circuits, which took place between February and March, 2026, has been successfully completed. This stage saw enthusiastic participation from many schools, with students showcasing impressive knowledge and determination. Following this round, six outstanding schools have successfully qualified to advance to the Inter-Circuit stage of the competition.
The much-anticipated Inter-Circuit Quiz Competition is scheduled to take place on 28th April, 2026. This next stage promises to be highly competitive, as the best-performing schools from each circuit come together to battle for the ultimate honor.
Currently, Sir Joe and his team are intensively preparing for this upcoming event. Their preparations include setting comprehensive and challenging quiz questions, organizing logistics, and ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place for a smooth and successful event. Their dedication reflects a shared goal of delivering a well-organized and impactful competition that will benefit all learners.
